ASRA
Joins forces with Keeping Kids Alive
Anti Street Racing Association
The ASRA known as the Anti Street Racing Associationis a non-profit 501 (3) (c) organization has teamed up with Keeping Kids Alive dedicated to saving lives, through education and training. The ASRA and KKA are more then just a anti street racing effort, yes our focus is on providing alternatives to drag racing on the street but, we are also dedicated to educating people of all ages on the importance of vehicle safety and proper driving techniques. By educating parents, children, and young adults we hope to help put an end to the many senseless lives lost each and every year, across the nation.
With community support and from corporate assistance programs we hope to provide additional track time for our youth and give them additional outlets for their need for speed. The ASRAwas founded by: Kenyatta Goins Jr. Son of living car legend Kenyatta Goins Sr. owner of Goins Auto Motorsports Enterprises located in Chandler, AZ. Kenyatta Jr. formed the ASRA out of need, a to save a life, after losing a girl friend who was an innocent motorist that was struck and killed by a street racer in Scottsdale, AZ the loss was senseless and devastating to Kenyatta who states and “she was only 17 years young!”
Two years have now passed since this loss and Kenyatta Jr. is faced this same scenario with yet another female friend who was recently involved in a street racing related episode, again another innocent life almost wiped out by a street racer who didn’t realize her car was in the way. She was hospitalized and paralyzed for eight long months! His only question to his parents was “why?” and “how can I stop this madness?” Thank God she lived! But she still isn’t out of the woods yet! She still has many months maybe years of rehabilitation before she’ll be able to function again as a normal person and all because someone wanted to use our local roadway as their own raceway in stead of going out to the track!

Our new partner in this effort Michael Johnson a long time Advocate of anti street racing is one of the pioneers on this effort Michael has a real drive and passion for children and young adults that are loosing theirs lives in such senseless tragedies each day. Keeping Kids Alive is a website full of information on many different forms of anti street racing to will hopefully reach one child and make difference.
This is why the ASRA and KKA are so important, Kenyatta states "people just do not know, they are not aware of just how bad a problem this has become, and most seem to not care, until it is their son or daughter, can you imagine that, get a phone call notifying you that you child, boy friend, girl friend, husband or wife is not coming back home again, EVER! Well just like very good friend has often said “it only takes one call” (Joe Abraham’s of yourclubz) One call can save a life, your getting involved can save a life, change is needed wont you help?

I feel that Desert Madness was a success we had a very good turn out even though DOT had closed the road and had very poor detour signs there was still some that came to support the cause and that was what mattered most!
